Kurrajong Public School
Toilet Facility Refurbishment — Live School Environment
Project Overview
Equinox Projects refurbished existing toilet facilities at Kurrajong Public School (1111 Grose Vale Road, Kurrajong NSW 2758), introducing new partitions, fixtures and finishes to create a safer, more practical space for students. The project was delivered with care in a live school environment — safety, stakeholder communication and minimal disruption were the governing priorities throughout.
Scope of Works
- Demolition and removal of existing partition systems and fixtures
- New toilet partition installation with compliant hardware
- Fixture replacement — pans, cisterns, basins and tapware
- Tiling and waterproofing to AS 3740
- Painting, ventilation and lighting upgrades
- Final inspection and Department of Education sign-off
Challenges
The facility remained in use throughout the works, requiring temporary alternative facilities to be arranged and communicated to the school community in advance.
Work hours were structured around the school timetable, with noisy works confined to recess, lunch and after-hours periods.
Department of Education reporting, hold-point inspections and QA records were maintained at every stage.
Delivery
Delivered on programme in December 2025. All QA records, ITPs and compliance documentation were submitted to the Department of Education at practical completion. Outcome improved both safety and functionality for students.
